Terminal Exchange IP+ handles all communications with all types of TouchStar terminals if they are FAMS or IP protocols. It ensures the configuration is up-to-date, synchronises the time and date with the server and collects real time data when it is entered at the terminal.

Terminal Exchange IP+ uses an MSDE or SQL database that other applications can access using industry standard tools. The database can be maintained easily using third party utilities including OSQL and MSDE Manager.
